The following window opens:
Before running this operation, make sure the correct School Code and School Year are set. In a multi-school database, each school has its own Grade Reporting Configuration.
Grade Point Value Group Labels. Enter a descriptive label for any of the five grade point value groups. The label is limited to 40 characters. You may associate different grade point values to sets of grades and compute GPAs depending on the Grade Point Value Group selected.
A different set of grade point values may be used for different GPA calculations, such as a Report Card GPA, an Honor Roll GPA, and so on. However, up to 5 sets of Grade Point Values may be used for different methods of computing, e.g.; in Grade Point Value Group #1 the grade "A+" could be worth "4.00" grade points and these grade point values could be used for report cards. In Grade Point Value Group #2 "A+" could be worth "100.00" grade points and these grade point values could be used when determining Honor Roll. Most schools will use a single Grade Point Value to describe the system that is used for grading.
The Edit Valid Grades List job is found in Generations. Go to Grades > More Grades Editing Jobs > Edit Valid Grades List. See an example below:
Comment Labels. Assign labels to identify the four comment fields. Up to four comments may be entered for a marking term. These comments are given a label which by default is C1, C2, C3, and C4. Enter a unique label for the 4 different Comment fields or use the default names C1, C2, C3, and C4. The label is limited to 3 characters.
These comment labels will appear throughout the system in report headings and on edit screens. You may change these labels if, for example, the first comment represents Effort, use the label EFF. If the second comment always indicates Conduct, use the label CON. If a comment is used to indicate total absences in class-by-class attendance, you could use the label ATN.
Report Card Display Settings. The saved setting selected here is used to print a report card from the student grades editor (Students > Grades tab) in Vision SIS and when a parent views a report card in the Family Portal. To save a setting to be used here, in Vision SIS, go to Grades > Reports > Report Cards.
