The following article is designed to walk the user through the basic steps involved in setting up the Daily attendance Bulletin for the Teacher Portal.  The user will be able to set the set a Daily Attendance Bulletin for teachers allowing them to view it in the Teacher Portal.

Prior To Implementation

Have calendar(s) set, Daily Attendance Codes entered, Assign Initial Attendance Entry Codes

Resolution
This setup is done in the Staff Portal 
  1. Attendance >> Reports >> Daily Attendance Bulletin
    1. Select codes for teachers to see
    2. Enter a report title if wanted
    3. Enter a note to print on the bottom of the bulletin if wanted
    4. click Set Up Bulletin tab
    5. Select fields to be shown on the report and their lengths (only 90 characters allowed)
    6. Set font size, # of columns, and where to break report if wanted
    7. Select contact type to show if contact is selected in available fields window
    8. Set starting and ending date for cumulative absences/tardies to be calculated from
    9. Click Save Settings at top
  • Highlight name of save and click save setting to save new setup
  • Click Add Item if a save setting is not there
  • Type in name of setting at bottom
  • lock so no one can change it if wanted
  • click save to save the name
  • repeat a)
  1. Click Close to close window
  1. Manage >> Configuration Jobs >> Configure Attendance
    1. In select a Saved Setting Record for spot click drop down next to Bulletin for Teachers and select the save setting you just created/saved
Additional Information
Daily Bulletin message can be used to notify teachers of anything from lunch menu to department meetings. This should be gone into, adjusted then saved daily.
