Requirements

  1. MS Remote Desktop Connection Mac or Windows Version 6.29+

  2. First login must be performed through Internet Explorer in order to “change password on first login”.

 
First Login
Internet Explorer>https://generations.studentinformation.systems>Log In>Click Change Password>Change Password>Log In>Click MMS Icon>Connect
 
Consecutive Logins
Internet Explorer>https://generations.studentinformation.systems>Log In>Click MMS Icon>Connect
 
Any Browser>https://generations.studentinformation.systems>Log In>Click MMS Icon>Copy connection to desktop>Rename Icon “MMS Online”>Double Click Connection>Connect

Requirements

Clients must be migrated to the Core Hosting Platform, prior to following the below listed steps. If you are not currently migrated, and would like to accelerate the migration process, please contact implementations@cri-mms.com to schedule your Organization’s migration with our implementations team.
 
Users must use Internet Explorer for their first login, in order to be prompted to change their password.
 
The minimum required version of Microsoft (MS) Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) is version 6.29.x+

Mac Users will need to download the Microsoft Remote Desktop Application from the app store prior to visiting the above URL

Accessing MMS Generations                                                             
 
From Internet Explorer (IE):
  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the (IE) Icon User-added image

  2. Enter https://generations.studentinformation.systems into the address bar of your browser and hit the enter key.

  3. Log in with the following information:

    1. Domain\Username: SIS\Your username
    2. Password: Your password

  1. In the menu that follows, you will see all MMS Generations Applications and Server Applications that your organization has access to:

  1. Click the MMS Generations instance that you wish to access.

    1. You may be prompted to install an active x control via a banner at the bottom of the screen, if so, please choose “Yes”.

    2. You may also be prompted to log in a second time. This will only occur for the first time the application is accessed. Successive logins will only require the user to log in once.

  1. In the publisher message that follows, click connect:

  2. If auto logon is enabled for the user account, the user will then be logged into MMS Generations directly. If auto logon is not enabled, the user will need to log into MMS Generations, before accessing the database.

    1. It is recommended that all users be set to auto logon except for users who will be logging into MMS Generations as the root “administrator” username.

From Any Other Browser (Chrome, Mozilla, Safari):

  1. Open the internet browser by clicking the appropriate icon

  2. Enter https://generations.studentinformation.systems into the address bar of your browser and hit the enter key.

  3. Log in with the following information:

    1. Domain\Username: SIS\Your username

    2. Password: Your password

  1. In the menu that follows, you will see all MMS Generations Applications and Server Applications that your organization has access to:

  1. Click the MMS Generations instance that you wish to access.

    1. You may be prompted to install an active x control via a banner at the bottom of the screen, if so, please choose “Yes”.

  1. A Remote Desktop Connection File will be downloaded via the browser to your default downloads location. The file download can be seen in the bottom left corner of the browser.

  2. Copy the connection file to your desktop, and rename it “MMS Online”

  3. Double click the icon to access it.

  1. In the publisher message that follows, click connect:

  2. The user will be prompted to log in.

    1. Successive logins do not require the user to log in via the web browser, and the connection file/ icon can be used exclusively.

    2. The connection is already preconfigured with the connection settings, file redirection and drive redirection
